KATHMANDU : The Government of Nepal has appointed Dr. Kadir Alam as the Chairman of the Nepal Pharmacy Council.
Dr. Alam took the oath of office and secrecy today in the presence of Health and Food Safety Minister Nisha Mehta.
According to the Minister's secretariat, Dr. Alam was selected for the position following a screening process among multiple applicants who submitted their candidacies for the role.
Following the swearing-in ceremony, Minister Mehta instructed the newly appointed chairman to play an active leadership role in making the Council more effective, transparent, and accountable. She emphasized strengthening pharmacy education, professional regulation, quality pharmaceutical services, and enhancing public trust in the sector.
